The anterior teeth morphology of Isurus paucus do not show any particular change from the Oligocene to the Pleistocene. The cusps of the anterior teeth of Isurus oxyrinchus in the early Miocene are less mesiodistally inclined and more straight than in the present-day species. After the Oligocene, mesiodistal curvature increases, becoming sigmoid-like and sowing more complex morphology. The length of the cutting edges are also gradually shortened accordingly.
